Hate to say it, but it could well be she fried the
starter solenoid (providing a CUCV has one).
There may be a relay before the starter (which I have
a vague recollection of one being mentioned a while
back). If that is the case, the symptoms you describe
would be appropriate, it could be fried and
you may have got off lightly.
Also, you may be really lucky and it is nothing more
than a fuse or circuit breaker, but I doubt it.
Worse case scenario price wise is the starter.
Once you locate the problem and replace the item, just
be wary of the other items I have mentioned. There could
be burnt contacts, which are not desirable as you will
get stuttering rather than solid cranking.
Best to replace any components that have been damaged
at this time than have them take out your starter
later on.
