| I understand the allure of having an attractive woman driving a heavy tracked vehicle, and I hate to be critical BUT having been around heavy equipment all my working life squatting of the front of a vehicle where a wrong move could throw you under the tracks is not the place to ride --- On Thu, 12/8/11, Glen Closson <glen.c...@gmail.com> wrote: |

I agree.
Just not a good place to be. Having a belt tie you to the
vehicle would be no better in a roll over situation.
So what to do with a novice driver?
I suspect they do not have functioning intercoms, which
to me is a huge safety fail. I note that she was wearing an M1
helmet and no intercom gear.
He can be in that location to do the pre-start briefing but
should be in the turret at name tag defilade before engine
start.
US H-161 headset is designed to go under an M1 and will
happily connect into a Vic-1 system which can be
purchased cheaply in the US AND is 12 volt as are
all vehicles shown in that video. Easy to install,
been there done that with a Pommie vehicle.
Above is what I have in my Ferret.
So there is no excuse other than penny pinching why they
aren't on intercom.
Hence why he is sitting on the outside instead of safely
in the turret.
OH&S disaster waiting to happen.
Regards
Doug
