Hi Aravind & Raghav,

As part of building a larger data set for scalability testing, we discussed analyzing GK data to find growth trends in the database.  I’ve run the mysql command “show table status” on two data sets from GK.  The 2008 database has 168,269 clients, where the 2009 backup has 309,161 clients.

I haven’t done any analysis on these results yet, but we should at least be able to quickly identify the tables that have little or no growth as an MFI scales.  Can you start to look at this information in support of Mingle card 2374?

Regards,

Jeff

Aravind & Raghav have probably done this (and better) already.

But, in case it helps, I took the data Jeff sent and organised it in a way that was useful to something I was doing.  Just shows GK 2009 vs 2008 row counts and growth.
