Looking for Ruby on Rails Engineer (Boulder, CO)

We are a newly funded Boulder based startup, aiming to change the way
the people create and consume data and content describing the world
around them, using the internet, location-aware and mobile devices.

EXPERIENCE

- Experience with Ruby on Rails, Java, and other object-oriented
languages
- Knowledge of web standards: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX
- Linux/UNIX background, including Mac OS X
- Working knowledge of SQL databases. Experience with PostgreSQL and
PostGIS a plus.
- Experience with developing and managing high traffic, consumer-
facing, database-driven web apps.
- Strong background in OSS.
- Experience in agile software development process.

IDEAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

- General geospatial / mapping experience, including PostGIS, ESRI,
Google Maps.
- An appreciation and knowledge of social networking.
- A passion, interest & experience of the location technologies &
geoweb (GPS, PND, maps, Mashups…)
- Content internationalization experience a plus.
