Brad has graciously loaned us a jet brand metal mill and lathe. Thanks brad! As always don't operate tools in the shop unless you have a full understanding on how to operate them.

RTFM is a given but that may not be the only thing to achieve MM Approval. That's why I asked.

These tools are close to a number 10 on dangerous level. Currently I do not feel comfortable training anyone on the mill or lathe. As all of our tools, we have not implemented any kind of check out procedure. I would say if you understand the risk and feel comfortable running the tools, knock yourself out (Figuratively please :) ).

Please listen to Ben on this. These two tools, especially the lathe, are heavy-duty enough to screw your day, week and entire life up _real_ quick. If you don't believe me (and you have a strong stomach) google 'lathe accident'. This isn't 'quickly-read-a-web-page and the FM and you're ready to go' kind of stuff.

Might I add, we should use the buddy system, that way if your arm gets ripped off you dont have to worry about dialing 911 before you pass out or go in to shock.
