General Shop Happenings

Just an update on what's going on in the shop.

Another white board has been hung, as you'll notice, immediately inside the common room as you walk in the door from the shop.  The aim is to use this board for general messages and updates to the group.  Such things as events, things that need to be done, reminders to people, and a list of anything we need.  I have already started a list of events and a list of things we need.  If you think of anything else that can go on that list to be helpful to us all, please do add to the lists.

Ben and I have consolidated the server rails that were in the floor of the shop down to only rails that we have pairs for.  Furthermore we have begun the process of putting them on eBay and attempting to sell them.  They appear to be going for somewhere in the $20 range.  If we can sell even one pair for roughly $20, it will be more worth while than it would have been to scrap them.  We would have only gotten maybe $14 for them in scrap.  So hopefully we'll see the last of those disappear soon.
