Everyone,
Be safe when running the band saw and always use eye protection. We had a blade break last night. Anything harder than Ebony should not be ran through the saw. The band saw runs operates too fast for metal and will cause excess heat and premature wear on the blades. I will go ahead and order and install a new blade.

Thanks,

if we were to get a metal cutting bandsaw, I would much prefer it be a little more reliable brand :)

Well, if memory serves, if you get a metal cutting blade and can turn down the speed on the band saw, you'll be fine.  I know with my dad's Delta, it works fine.

Oh, and that's a wood blade on there.. NEVER try to cut metal with a wood blade unless you decide you just want to have a bad day.  Metal cutting teeth are MUCH finer.
