Subject: #memtech: "Super" User Group meeting for November
To:
The Memphis .Net User Group would like to help coordinate a collaborative
user group meeting among as many of the Memphis area user groups as
possible during GeekWeek, November 3rd-11th. We are in the process of
trying to secure space at Southwest Tennessee Community College for the
meeting, but our current plan is to have the meeting there on Thursday.
November 8th. We will have "Pizza and networking" from 5:30-6:00, and then
the 10-20 minute "lightening talks" will begin after that.
The goal of the meeting is to help introduce members from each of the user
groups to the other groups that are available in our area, to help spread
frameworks/technologies/etc that can be used by more than just one
environment or platform, and to help GeekMemphis "raise the tech tide" in
our area. If you have an idea for a talk, please submit a short summary of
the talk to me at bgswan...@purpleant.com. We'll pick 6-8 talks to be given
that night.
For those who are members of the Memphis .Net User Group, this will replace
our regularly scheduled November meeting that would have occurred on the
fourth Thursday of November.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me as well...

It's something that's going along with the Tech Week that GeekMemphis is
doing. Since we have quite a few people interested in the various user
groups, I thought it was relevant.
