For the LAN party comin up I have finished wiring ethernet and power to the
two large tables in the shop. All said and done, I believe I did it for
right around $120 give or take a few.
On each table, there are now 10 power outlets (8 for realistic use) and 8
ethernet ports (7 for realistic use because one is needed for uplink.) I
thought this might make it easier for general day to day use as well as
provide us a convenient setup for at least 8 people to sit during a LAN.
And for those curious, yes, the switches are gigabit switches.
Thanks,
Daniel H.

Also, please keep those tables clear between now and the LAN Party when
you're not using them. We spent a chunk of yesterday getting all the gear
on them put away.

I remembered on my way in to work this morning, but I forgot to mention the
guys helping execute all of this. Thanks to Ben, Danny, and Joe for more
than a few hours laying on the ground and wiring. When all was said and
done, I left the space at 4:30 AM (15 hours after I got there) and managed
a whole hour of sleep if that'll gain me any leeway in forgetting to
mention you guys.
Thanks,
Daniel H.
