Stereolithography?

I suppose this has been discussed before but can we do it again for a refresh?

It appears to me that 3D printing with stereolithography gives a better quality result in terms of finer resolution and choice of materials.  Do you agree?

If the advantages are true then I would like to have one.  But it is too expensive at ~$3,500.

I might however be interested in helping Midsouth Makers buy (build?) a machine for all members to use.

You might check out B9CREATOR on Kickstarter.

It uses a projector and photopolymer and images a layer at a time with good resolution.

The photopolymer is pretty noxious from what I understand.

 

If you need high resolution printed parts, you might contact Gary Lowery of Vision Engineering and Prototype in Horn Lake, MS.

He has several sterolithographers he uses for printing prototype parts with.
