Republic Coffee has made some changes to our usual meeting room. It's now a
comfortable study hall with quiet intimate booths. We will be meeting in
the larger back room affectionately called "The Way Back Room". The large
tables have already been moved into the room, we supposedly have a bit more
space and more seating. It has quite a few electrical outlets. There will
be a chalkboard by the entrance way letting people know that we are all the
way in the back.

Let's see if we can help re-calibrate your detector. We obviously know
that the three most important things are Location, Location, and Location.
So where could we go that improve upon that? Since Memphis is Memphis,
it's pretty obvious that most people stick to alcohol and drugs to escape
the atrocity that is this city. People also definitely like to eat around
here, I know I do. So the obvious choice is the PizzaHut of Sadness to get
all of those things conveniently rolled up in one. You can even lose a
shoe to the insanely sticky floor if you're really lucky.
In all seriousness though, we *could* look into doing some slightly
different setups at Republic or some other venue in the Midtown area. It
is always a possibility of swarming the front area and having a non hostile
takeover of the coffeehouse by occupation. Doesn't mean we have to, but it
never hurts to at least consider our options.
P.S. While I am for looking into something different/new, I am in no way
legitimately suggesting we go with the PizzaHut of Sadness. There are
plenty of better locations we could attempt.
Thanks,
Daniel H.

One thing I forgot to mention: When I was contacted by Republic coffee,
they made a point to thank us profusely for meeting there for so long and
that they appreciated the business that we bring.

Yes, but _why_ is the floor open on this? Why is it an issue? What is
the problem?

All things being equal. *If* we *were* going to move away from Republic, I
would want to ensure it was a local place and not a chain.
