I am hoping someone can help me with this, I am completely new to Mididings. I have a Akai EWI USB wind instrument. I also have a VL70-m which has a standard five pin MIDI input. I also have a very cheep USB to MIDI converter. I am using a Raspberry Pi to do the work.
With the EWI and converter plugged into the Raspberry Pi. Using Jack Audio Connection I can set up the correct connection and get it to work correctly. This requires having a monitor and mouse keyboard connected. What I want to do is to use the Raspberry Pi as a dedicated connection. So that on power up the Raspberry Pi will start and make the correct connection every time.
It seems that I should be able to use Mididings to accomplish this.
When I entering in the terminal $ mididings “Transpose(3) >> Channel (2)” something happons. When I look at Jack Audio Connection Mididings is listed as an input and an output. But there is no connection. I am however able to connect them, with including the EWI and MIDI USB connection. But on reboot the connection is lost.
It seems to me that mididings is not recognising the input and or the output and is then not connecting them. Any suggestions?
