- [MidValleyNature:8004] FOY Western Tanager - 1 Update
Joel Geier <clear...@peak.org>: Apr 28 06:04PM -0400
Nice! We had a brief visit from a male Bullock's Oriole this morning, about a week ahead of the average arrival date for the Corvallis-Albany area.
Also, on Sunday I heard my first "Pacific-slope" (Western) Flycatcher of the year, while checking for Vesper Sparrows along the Cardwell Hill powerline corridor, out by Wren.

No Black-headed Grosbeak or Bullock's Oriole yet. But during our Orchard
Heights Park bird survey this morning we saw three Western Tanagers in an
oak tree. One was a very bright male.
