Now appearing at a theater in Corvallis....

….Vaux’s Swifts in their northward spring migration. Tonight I counted 510 enter the chimney at the Whiteside Theater well past sunset to roost overnight. They’ve been using the Whiteside location for many years, but there are other chimneys in Corvallis that have also been used, including several on the OSU campus, other downtown locations, and in some neighborhoods. Some years I have to chase around town to find them, but for the past several years they have been consistent at the Whiteside.

If anyone in Corvallis sees other chimneys being used, it would be great if you could post so the locations and counts could be submitted to the VauxHappening research website.
