like the playstation 2. we can obviously see that xbox is
the most powerful gaming console to date but the real
competition still lies in its games. i do not own an xbox
but i guess Halo is the only standout game for the xbox.
and i think nobody will buy a console just for one game.
it still lacks exclusive "quality games." doa3 is just a
simple eyecandy unlike ps2s gta3, metal gear solid 2,
final fanstasy and gran turismo to name a few. another
problem i see is the delay of multi-console games. most
multi-console games first appears in the playstation 2
rather than the xbox. im keeping an eye on the
xbox' "biggest launch of games" that i read on a
magazine. it said that it would be the biggest launch of
games for a particular console. i just wish that the
games would be worthy enough to compete or would it just
be trash?

If I recall correctly, the PS2 didn't even have 20 games
out by the 6th month. The Xbox has over 60 games released
right now.
A year ago, during it's launch, Sony said that the PS2
would support online play by the end of 2001. We're well
into 2002, and the only thing Sony's announced is the PS3
is in developement. So much for a show of confidence.
But you're right in a sense. It hasn't proven itself quite
yet. There was another console that had more games, and
better games than the PS2 did. The Dreamcast. But failed
support for it caused it to die. Not really fan support,
but retail support.
I remember hearing about games coming out, going to the
store only to find the same 5 games available since it's
launch. You'd go to the store to pick up a game. Where's
the game? It's not out yet. Whatta you mean it's not out
yet, it's been "OUT" for the past month!!! Oh, well then
if they send us a shipment, we'll put it on sale.
uh-huh... Same is happening with the Xbox. How many stores
can you go to and find over 60 games to buy?? Not to
mention that there are idiots like Best Buy who spread
nonsense around. How can those mooks be the biggest
electronics resalers in the US??? It boggles the mind...

on the market and I think Microsoft's doin a damn good job
at it too. Their productivity plan can be 2 general
ways. You can port games that look like the crappy PS2
counterparts that they are, or you can take a little bit
of time making them better. Microsoft is doing the second
option more than the first. That is one of the reasons we
don't have like 400 games out like PS2 does. But you also
have to remember that PS2 has been out for about 2 years
and xbox has been in existence for like 2(5 to be exact)
months. But then again you can't take too long redoing
games over and over till it's perfect cuz that takes time
and money...1)Money isn't the prob w/ Microsoft. 2)If
they do take 6 months for a remake, rather than 1 1/2
months for a port, than little bitches like you start to
complain! So before you whine and complain about
selection, think twice about it. Atleast give them a full
8-12 months before you give a n overall complete review of
the system and it's games, I mean come on. By the end of
summer, we'll have more than enough games to last us the
summer.(GTA3, 5 soccer games, Metal Gear Solid X, bounty
hunter, the Matrix, and a whole bunch of other shit too.
I really can't give you a full release list, but you get
the picture. Besides, Microsoft has had more than twice
as many milestone games with 6 months than Sony. Xbox has
Rallisport, Halo, Amped, DOA 3, Gunvalkyrie, Max Payne,
Jet Set Radio, Nascar Heat, NFL Fever, NBA 2K2, All-Star
2003, WWF RAW, Tony Hawk 3...Ya get the picture already.
ALL of these games, ARE THE BEST OF THEIR GENRES!!! There
are even more that come close like SSX Tricky and Profect
Gotham. What more could you ask within 6, I mean 5
months! And what did PS2 have within 6 months?
Ummm...FANTAVISION, SSX, Gran Turismo 3, and Tekken. I'll
give you GTA 3 which was and is still the best...until
Sega GT 2002 kicks it ass up and down..and back up AGAIN!
Bam. Even though GT3 was realeased AFTER 6 months! It
took them until JULY to get it out. PS2 was released in
Nov., same as XBOX.
There ya go. Sorry for the fumes, bruther. My case rests.

FF sucks, it is all eye candy with little real play.
