Works 7.0 and Clip Art Problem

How does one load the Clip Art files contained on the
Works 7.0 CD onto to the hard drive so that CD does NOT
have to be present to insert Clip Art into a Works
document ?? Doing a FULL installation does NOT load the CD
Clip Art files onto the HD during the installation process
which is very aggrevanting.

WKSv7std.sbs Locate this file on your works CD and copy to your hard drive.
When you insert a clip you will need to locate the file. You only need to
help works find it once then you can insert the clips without the CD.

Hi Richard,

The menu -driven method is to use the Insert Clip Art option
within the works word processor.

Copy the file WKSv7std.sbs (48.3MB) from the Works CD to
your hard disc folder, say to, C:\Program Files\MicrosoftWorks.

Open the Works word processor

Choose menuitem Insert>ClipArt

Select any graphic, showing a CD icon in the bottom r/h corner.

Choose Insert, you will be asked to insert the Works 7 CD.

Choose Options button.

Browse to folder C:\Program Files\MicrosoftWorks and locate
the file WKSv7std.sbs.

Thereafter the clipart files are directly available from the hard disc.

When you look at wksv7std.sbs with Windows Explorer it says the file
type is "Spyware Supplemental File". What the heck does that mean?

Hi Mary,

It may mean that you have installed SPYBOT Search and Destroy onto
your computer and it has associated the .sbs file extension with its program.
