Hello,
Can anyone help me with a printing problem?? I can print off the internet
but not on microsoft works 9 or notepad. I uninstalled and reinstalled my hp
printer 2575xi program as well as updating it. I had an earlier version of
works which printed with no problem. I have gone wireless, does that effect
my printer? Also, how do I know what port setting I should use for my
printer? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What happens when you try to print? Are you getting any error message?

By wireless do you mean there is a wireless connection between your PC
and the printer? Or a wireless connection between your PC and the
Internet? If the latter, it shouldn't affect printing. If the former,
it might.

What version of Windows are you using?

Works is going to want to use your default printer. Make sure that your
desired printer is set as the default to Windows.

The message is No default printer selected use control panel to specify printer. The printer is selected and works for every other printable program on my computer. The default printer also worked with my previous version of Works. Operating system is XP and printer is HP 6740.
