normal template gets corrupted

Every now and again for no reason that I can see the normal template gets
corrupted and I have to do a complete reset of the font and all the
autotext material I use which is a real pain any ideas what might be
causing this and how to rectify it?

Hi Sue and Jeane,

Could be a macro virus that is messing with your Normal.Dot template. Try
using some Virus Protection Software. Another option is to change the
attribute on the Normal.Dot file to Read Only which is what I do. Or you
could make a copy of the Normal.Dot template in some other directory and
then if the one that is being used gets corrupted, replace it with the copy.
