Outline Numbering + first level heading

I have created outline numbering linked to heading styles and am wondering is there a way to remove the number from a heading while maintaining number positions for lower levels? I have provided an example of what I want to do underneath this request.
This is what I have
1. Heading One
1.1 Heading Two.
1.1.1 Heading Three.
This is what I want to do:
Heading One
1.1 Heading Two.
1.1.1 Heading 3.
This is what I have
1. Heading One
1.1 Heading Two.
1.1.1 Heading Three.
This is what I want to do:
Heading One
1.1 Heading Two.
1.1.1 Heading 3.

Format the level 1 number as hidden. In recent versions of Word, you can do that
easily by clicking to select the actual number and then pressing Ctrl+Shift+H.
