I have Microsoft Word 2002 or Microsoft Office XP Professional and Windows
XP. I inserted a picture frame clip art which is a bitmap. I also inserted
a picture of my daughter. I want to cut out the middle of the picture frame
on the computer so when I put the picture frame clip art over my daughter's
picture, I will be able to see my daughter's picture through it so it looks
like a framed picture. How do I make the middle of the picture frame see
through or transparent on the computer.

I do have the Print Shop 20 Deluxe, and it has Advanced Drawing where you
can do this, but it has to be a .wmf file. I did save this bitmap file as a
.wmf file, and I can see the picture frame in My Pictures in Advanced
Drawing, but when I select it and open it, nothing is there. Sometimes it
says it's too big or not centered, but I reduced the size in Microsoft Word
and centered it in Advanced Drawing, but nothing is still there.

Can anyone help me with this?

It would be much less work to set the order of the picture frame bitmap to
"back", and to set the order of the picture of your daughter to "front".
Right-click on each object, then left-click on Order | Send to back (or
front). Then drag the daughter's picture over the frame clipart.
