Word problem....

I have just been given a pc with office pro 2003. Everytime i open word
& use it then save the document when i come to open it again it opens in
wordpad & is unreadable.....what am i doing wrong please help thanks.

It appears that the file association for the doc (and probably dot) formats
are inappropriately assigned in Windows to WordPad - See
http://www.gmayor.com/Document_Not_Found.htm
