Hi Fran,

The only version of Word that can work with Works .WDB
files is Word 2002 and then only as a mailmerge data
source if the .WDB file contains only data (i.e. no
calculated entries).

The Works folks can use File=>Save As and provide
a DBF or Tab Delimited data file from their Works Data Base
file. Word may not be an ideal candidate for data base
work. Excel would be closer in functionallity to the
Works Database program and can also use the delimited
or DBF files to import into Excel worksheets.

I am trying to assist a geneology society with the
following problem: Their office has Microsoft Word and
Excel, but some of their members are using Works 6.0.
What do I need to download in order to convert a wdb
file? I downloaded the Office Converter Pack for Office
97 Users, but it didn't work. Thanks. >>
