This is my first time here. Not sure where to ask a question but maybe you
can help. I have live one care and the last time I updated it, now I do not
have access to office 2000. Everytime I go in it comes up, not responding.
I don't want to load the new office as apparently you don't have access to
your old word documents. Can you help me.

I'm not familiar with "live one care," but have you tried uninstalling the
update?

Also, for general troubleshooting in Word, see

Hi bb,

If you've installed the Office Live update, you'll need to uninstall it - it's incompatible with Word 2000.

Other than that, you could try repairing your Word installation (Help|Detect & Repair from Word or Excel, for example).

Later versions of Word will open any files created by Word 2000.

Remove OneCare completely. Microsoft has stopped providing OneCare because
it is crap. Instead, download and install its replacement, Microsoft
Security Essentials (if you must have Microsoft) or preferably, download the
free AVG antivirus.
