Good Morning, I am not sure that this is the correct group to post this message--if that is so please let me know what the correct group is. I have a Dell C810 running Win XP Pro SP3, and a D-Link 655 router and a Linksys WPC 54GS PCMCIA card. I am thinking that this PCMCIA card is not compatible with SP3 since it worked well before installing... more »

I am running XP Professional with Service Pack 3. The entire "New Connection Wizard" is greyed out, so that I cannot create VPN connections. I already tried the suggestions in KB 329441 and KB 320558 to no avail. It doesn't matter if I am an administrator or not. I have no intention of doing... more »

RDC closes when I click "Connect"
|
| |
I'd been using RDC for ages, inputting the target PC's IP address, rather than using a VPN. Now, all of a sudden, whenever I click "Connect", the standard Windows XP error reporting box (Remote Desktop Connection has encountered a problem and needs to close) appears. WHY!?

New Router - Is there a problem?
|
| |
My work laptop computer connects to my home XP machine through remote desktop reliably every day. Rarely, if ever, is there a disconnect, even when I don't use the RD connection for quite a while. As we speak, I am in a hotel with my laptop and with a wired internet connection. Yesterday, I purchased a Belkin F5D8236-4 router so that my... more »
