  You could just go look at the web pages for each. *grin* &lt;br&gt; Teamviewer has servers, does not require any account. &lt;br&gt; VNC (like UltraVNC) does not. &lt;br&gt; LogMeIn, GoToMyPC, etc all have servers and you need and account. &lt;br&gt; Remote Desktop (built into Windows XP) has no servers, but you would have to &lt;br&gt; have a professional series or above of the OS in order to act as a host.

  TeamViewer would be the easiest. &lt;br&gt; Install the full version on your system(s) and the HOST on her laptop.   You can&#39;t. Remote Desktop will not use the local audio devices. I know &lt;br&gt; this is true for actual remote desktop sessions. I don&#39;t know if it&#39;s true &lt;br&gt; for remote help sessions to an XP desktop. &lt;br&gt; An alternative would be to use VNC. That just remotes the locally logged-in &lt;br&gt; session on the console. Then anyone needing to control it would have to use
