As we speak, I am in a hotel with my laptop and with a wired internet
connection. Yesterday, I purchased a Belkin F5D8236-4 router so that my
wife and I will have a wireless connection while we are here. The router
installed easily and it seems to work perfectly, except that when I
don't use the RD connection for 10 minutes or so, when I click back to
the tab, RD has to reconnect. It reconnects instantly every time. (I
don't know why automatically reconnect is not working.) Since I use the
computer directly to the internet, I don't perceive that I am having any
connectivity issues.
Is there a setting in the router that is causing me to drop my
continuous connection to my home computer? Is there something about RDP
that I can configure to solve the problem? The wired internet connection
is very solid and fast. I'm getting at least 5MB up and down.
I'm going to connect the laptop directly to the wired Ethernet port to
see if the problem continues, although I did use wired internet here
yesterday and did not have the problem.
Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.
