Window service pack 2 Problem

i recently needed to reinstall exp pro. i then installed service pack 2,
which installed ok. when restarting the computer it started find,loading to
my profile screen. when i click on a profile the stystem starts loading then
it goes to a black screen. I can hear it loading but i am unable to see
anything. can anyone help
