Nothing happens when clicking on icons in My Network Places

When I open My Network Places and try to click on any of the menu items
such as Network Setup Wizard or Entire Network nothing happens. When I right
mouse click on Entire Network and select properties I get the message that
"the properties for this item are not available." The only thing that works
is that if I click on the shared docs folder for my computer it opens. But
nothing else opens.

I use Windows XP SP3.
