Sorry, Phillip. but indeed there's no way for XP Home to join a domain. But
you can use domain resources (shares, printers, etc...) by providing the
credentials for a domain level account.

Philip,

Any questions or reply should go to the MS newsgroup. That will benefit all
readers and you may get more response from other professional people. Thank
you.

I have not tried that but I do believe that should work. I will test it
later and will post my result in my web site. At meantime, you may try that
yourself. Just remember replacing your logon id with domain\logonid or
log...@domain.com in tweakUI - network tab. Would you please also let us
know the result?

I have to logon domain : PIH with username: pgermeys and password= "pass"
for example place on server where I have to go = "mct1-server".
What do I have to do then ?
I have to make a script or something ?
U use for example:

h: \\server1\marketing password /user:ntdomain\logonid

So for me that is:

h: \\pih\mct1-server\
pass/user:ntdomain\pgermeys

but where do I have to put those stuff ? Do I have to make a Network drive ?
Cause that I don't get really :)
plz help :)

and in TWEAK UI , I can only find LOGON where I can met my domain name and
username , but no password

Information of your site :
Q: How to connect a domain without logging on the domain

A: If you travel a lot and do not want to change the domain name to your
clients' domain to connect to their network resources, you can always logon
your local machine and gets IP from their DHCP. You do need a same logon id
and password for your laptop and their domain. You may also want to create
logon batch files such as client1.bat, client2.bat and client3.bat to map
the network drives and printers. Here is a mapping example, net use h:
\\server1\marketing password /user:ntdomain\logonid (you may or may not need
the password in the command

XP home does not do domains. In XP Home, go to System/Computer Name.
The only choice you have is Workgroup.
XP Pro does domains. In XP Pro, go to System/Computer Name. You have
two choices here: Workgroup and Domain.
