Remove album folder so songs appear under Artist name folder only

I have this arrangement in my music folders: Artist Name Folder, Album Name
subfolder, and Song inside the Album Folder. I want the Songs to appear
inside the Main Artist Folder and not have Album subfolder in between. I
have hundreds of these. Is there a way to remove the album subfolder so that
the songs appear only under artist name without doing this manually one at a
time? Also, I have the songs appearing on their own in the main Artist
Folder while at the same time a copy appears in the Album subfolder. Is this
an illussion and the view is mixed up or are there actually two copies of the
same song? I have Nomad Jukebox3 that I want to use with Musicmatch. I
don't like Windows Media player - it's too smart for its own good -- does
things for you that you don't want done. The last time I used it, it doubled
everything in my Nomad.

You can do that with RealPlayer 10.5. Go to your library and choose
"Tools/change file names" In the sub-folder format section choose "one
sub-folder 'artist'". Click the button, and that's it!

Thank you, Galley, but I don't want to have to install yet another Media
software. My question is still if I can do a universal delete of the Album
subfolder without deleting what's inside.

Go to Start
Search
Pictures, music, or video
Use advanced search options
Check the music box
You will need to select the last item "browse" in "look in:" and work your
way the artist folder.
You will get a list of all songs without the album folders in the way.
Search
Now open another window with the destination folder (the artist).
Cut all the music from the search and paste into new window.

Always back up first before doing a cut just in case of problems.
