Add/Remove component error

Im trying to install iis on xp sp2.
When i get to the add/remove component, i get an error message that
say
(setup library comsetup.dll could not be loaded or function OcEntry
could not be found. contact your system administrator. The specific
error code is 0x7e.)
When i check the setup in C:/windows/system32 the comsetup.dll is

how to delete the windows tvdebug.log? it keeps growing daily and is up to

Yea, i have a backup computer to get the missing drivers. My other computer
is sorta messed up as well.
- It doesn't give the option to roll back the video driver, i assume 'cause
i reformatted the hard drive.
- The video card is "on board"

I did what you advised me to do and it stll does not work however when
I cheked the inetcpl.cpl and the one I typed in, I went into properties
and looked up their version under file name :-
inetcpl (vista_gdr.091027-0049)
inetcpl.??? (vista_gdr.091027-0049)
inetmib1.dll (xpsp.080413-0852)

I used some other program yesterday to get rid of over 1000 messages from 2009.
Now when I hit the delete key nothing happens. I have XP, IE 8.0, and OE 6.0. I
tried reinstalling IE 8.- but nothing changed. Also my spell checker (Tiny
Spell) quit working a while ago and I need it because I am a bad speller.

You need to download the proper drivers from your computer manufacturer -
video, Ethernet, etc. If you can't access the Internet with this computer,
you will have to do it from another computer and save the drivers to a thumb
drive or CD.
In the future, you should never download device drivers through Windows

Heres the story. I have a refurnished gateway(xp pro) that was running good.
- I went to the windows update site and downloaded alot of the updates.
