Message: "The Security Center service has been stopped. It was prevented
from running by a software group policy." showing up in event logs. Sophos
Antivirus installed, along with inter-check monitor. What causes this? Any
thoughts would be appreciated!

All Anti-Virus when they installed on windows will Disable the Windows
Security centre from running avoiding conflict or what you call (who's the
boss) in dealing with what do what and what have access to what!.
