I have a new laptop with a fresh install of Win XP Pro, it
comes with SP1a built in. I have updated it fully using
windows update.
Now when I attempt to install office or any other program
that uses the installer the installer crashes mid install
and causes the programs to impossible to install.
For a while this was happening on my desktop too but it is
now fine (Perhaps it auto updated itself) what is the
soloution to this problem? Even rolling back to where
installs were working does not help.

Help appreciated.
Craig.

Go to Start/Run and type in:

Then Start/Run and type in:
