I moved My Documents from my C Drive to another drive and now when I try to
install some programs (ACDSee, for one) I get: Error 1324, The path My
Documents contains an invalid character. Is there a way to correct this or
shopuld I just move My Documents back to its default location?

Hi Robert,

I suggest you check the following registry keys in the Registry Editor:

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellFo
lders

If the Data of the values do not exist or point to some wrong path, change
them accordingly.

I would like to refer you to the following article in Microsoft Knowledge
Base (KB):

310147.KB.EN-US How to Change the Default Location of the My Documents
Folder
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;310147

I hope this helps.
