The following error appears will adding Chinese IME:
'Windows could not properly load Chinese(PRC) - Chinese (Simplified) -
Microsoft Pinyin IME 3.0 keyboard layout.'

As such the above IME is not working,
Anybody know how to solve this error?

Ig,

Have you tried uninstalling the Chinese IMEs and reinstalling? That may
repair any broken or missing files or settings.

hi Mike

I have removed the MS PinYin IME and added it back a few times but it still
does not solve the problem.
Is this what you meant by uninstalling/reinstalling, from within the 'Text
Services and Input Languages' box?
Any others ways to 'repair broken/missing files'?
thanks!

1. Copy i386 folder from the windows xp installer disk to your
harddisk.
2. remove your cd from the pc.
3. goto Settings -> Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options ->
Languages.
4. Check Install files for complex script and right-to-left language
including Thai).
5. Now should be prompt you to insert a windows xp CD. You just direct
it to to the i386 folder that you copy to harddisk.
6. then uncheck the Install files for East Asian languages.
7. uncheck the Install files for complex script and right-to-left
language including Thai).
8. check the Install files for East Asian languages.
9. now you should be prompt to insert the windows xp cd again. you just
direct it to the i386 folder in the harddisk.
10. now your IME should be working.
