Issue Regards:
Bluetooth headset connected to Windows PC

Hardware involved:
Belkin bluetooth USB dongle
Logitech Mobile Bluetooth Headset

Software Involved:
Belkin bluetooth driver
Windows XP "Recording Control"
located in "Control Panel -> "Sounds and Devices" -> <Audio (tab)> ->
"Volume"

Problem:
Cannot adjust microphone recording volume with bluetooth headset in Windows
XP. The "Recording Control" volume level is dithered, and set to a value of
about 3/4 of maximum.

This was not the case with Windows 2000. In Windows 2000, the "Recording
Control" volume level (microphone volume level) could be set to arbitrary
level.

I have tried reinstalling driver. Also, I have made sure that Microsoft
bluetooth stack is not being used (XP tries to do this by default), but that
Belkin driver is being used. I have also tried digging through registry to
find a parameter that locks volume control.
