"Joe, I have several users set up on my computer. For the last few months
when I am logged in as Administrator, the User pane in Task Manager is
blank, whereas if I log in as another user it includes the usual details. It
is not causing any great problem, but I suspect that it indicates that
something is amiss. Have you ever come across this? I have looked up the MS
Knowledge Base and can't find a reference to it. I seem to recall that one
of the recent viruses affected Task Manager, but I can't find anything on
that".
Any assistance please with this one?

The Users Tab appears when the Welcome Screen and Fast User Switching is
applied. The Users appear when and if they are logged on.

I just got this back from Norm:
Hi Joe.
Could you help to clarify what this all means, please? I do not use the
Welcome Screen. I use the system from Woody Leonhards book of going straight
into my site on switch-on. I don't know what Fast User Switching is. I
checked sfc /scannow and as the Windows File Protection pane exit without
saying anything I assume it's OK.
Regards Norm
I have explained FUS as best I can and also SFC but I don't have a clue on
the first part.
Many thanks
