Hello,
I cannot delete some mpgs and shortcuts from my hd. XP refuses to delete
these files returning the error msg "cannot find specified file" or "access
denied". I deleted the files somehow but the icons and shortcuts remain. Is
there a way to delete these file from the command line. I can't seem to get
it figured out and a search of the help resources at microsoft turns up
nada.
Thanks in advance,
Mike R.

I have suffered the same problem.
The only way i found to delete the files was to reboot.
Press "F8"
select "Safe Mode Command Prompt"
Then delete the relevant files from a dos promt before XP takes control of
the system.

Hello,
I still cant delete the files as from the command prompt I put:
"del C:\documents and settings\Mike Riposa\my documents\my
videos\incomplete"
and it returns cant find file or folder make sure path is correct.
Am I missing dsomething from this path? I have verified twice that it is the
correct path.
Any help on what I am overlooking is greatly appreciated,
Thanks in advance,

Mike R.
