I just cleaned out my c:\windows\prefetch and adjusted the key to only
prefetch boot system files.

However, is there a way that specific applications can be prefetched?

I suspect that you don't fully understand how prefetch works, prefetch
loads *nothing* into memory when the computer is booted.

Why ever would you want to do that?!?!?! Restore the key back, and leave
it alone. You're wasting your time, and CPU cycles messing with it.
