I upgraded to Win XP Pro from Win ME. Whenever I right-
clicked on any file or folder on the desktop or in My
Computer, the system froze. The mouse was just an hour-
glass.

I searched these articles forever and never found a true
solution, but here's what worked for me. The programs
Aladdin DropStuff and Aladdin Expander were somehow
causing a conflict. I removed them and everything began
working. I believe these programs were formerly known as
StuffIt, so you might look for that too.

This worked when registry edits, reinstalls, and system
file checker didn't get me anywhere.

I hope this helps someone. Good luck!

Dear Customer,

Commandly, the issue is caused by the display card driver issue. I have
encountered the issue with the Intel display card included in the I810
chipset. Apply the latest display card driver will solve the issue.

Thanks for using Microsoft News Group!

Sincerely,

Steven Liu
