  Image, the 120 days evaluation time has became 48 (useful) hours. After that &lt;br&gt; it consumes 100% cpu.   No. Only if you need to debug on your target. You will need to make sure &lt;br&gt; the runtime redistributables are installed, though. &lt;br&gt; I use Delphi, and the few times I have needed to debug on the target, &lt;br&gt; I used remote debugging. I don&#39;t know is VS2005 has remote debugging.

  You can use any tools that create applications for Windows XP. &lt;br&gt; That&#39;s the major advantage of XPe over other embedded systems; that &lt;br&gt; standard Windows programs can run on it. VS is fine. &lt;br&gt; The only thing to be aware of is that the XPe image has all the &lt;br&gt; components your app needs.
