Brand New W7 WMP12 does not have RIP or RIP Settings tabs

I Just got Windows 7 up and running and everything looked great and went
well. I TRIED to rip a new CD today and couldn't figure out how. Searched
help and on-line help and best I can figure there are supposed to be two more
tabs on the top of the media player, 'cause I ain't got 'em. Any
suggestions? I tried to re-download WMP12 but there's no download available,
there's no (findable on this huge and hugely obstinate website) upgrade for
my problem or question asked. Am I the only one who has this problem?
Anyway, any help would be appreciated.
