If the version of "Works" was older than 2000
you may have to do this

P. S. Didn't mean to post the same message twice--dunno how it happened.
Apologies.

I find it amazing (but not surprising) that a newer MS word processing
program cannot convert data from an older program.
Though I am sure an Ebay purchase will not set you back much...
I just remembered that my gmail account has a built-in conversion
capabilities...
In other words if you emailed the documents to yourself as an
attachment...Gmail can convert them
Also, it's possible Open Office could convert the document
don't know for sure...but it's free!
The OP is trying to convert *Works* files with *Word*.
Look into free on-line file conversion services - I haven't used
them myself but I believe they can convert almost anything.
And in the future, save everything in the universal (and tiny)
format: TXT.

You DO? Why do you think they keep on changing the formats?
<SNIP>
To make money of course!
Yes
but they said it did not work
And pretty fucking successful at it, too.
