XP Professional to Windows 7

During installation of Windows 7, I receive message "windows could not update
the computer's boot configuration. Installation cannot proceed." My computer
is a Dell XPS 400.

How does your problem pertain to Windows Update (vs. upgrading Windows)?

There have been ongoing "synchronization issues" between the master
newsserver and the web-based newsgroups. Those accessing these newsgroups
via an NNTP newsreader are not seeing these delays, Ангел.
