running xp pro sp3, got a BAD_POOL_HEADER message...
looks like driver issues when booting in safe mode..
above error is..can't do windows update in safe mode...
is there any workaround for this...?? I'm hoping that a
fresh update will resolve open issues...

anyone have a starting point?
Thank you.

What were you doing just before the error occurred? Can you give us any
clues at all as to the cause?

Windows Update is the last problem you have to worry about. I'm assuming
that the machine won't boot into either safe mode or normal mode.

Does it boot to a Windows XP installation CD? Try a repair installation.

Don't have a disc? Aside from never purchasing a computer without an
installation disc ever again, try to borrow one for your machine or call the
manufacturer.

0x00000019: BAD_POOL_HEADER
A pool header issue is a problem with Windows memory allocation. Device
driver issues are probably the msot common, but this can have diverse causes
including bad sectors or other disk write issues, and problems with some
routers.
