-- I just formatted my computer and redownloaded Windows XP/SP2. I have
Windows Updates set to "DOWNLOAD AND LET ME KNOW SO I CAN INSTALL WHEN I
WANT". But the updates are always waiting to install when I shut down. I had
the updates set the same way before formatting , and everything worked fine.
Is there some way to change this so I can install when I am ready, or at
least change it to install at restart?

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft
Update, or by using Automatic Updates after you perform a new Windows XP
installation or you repair a Windows XP installation
