Download and install powerpoint viewer 2007

i tried that likk and downloaded it and still same problem please help its
a [pain seeing the windows update poping up all the time. i have windows vista

thanks, Bob...and others; MS totally confused me with their reply!
I downloaded as suggested, and no longer need the "update".

It's nice to know there are folks out here who can help those of us
with less knowledge.

Thanks, this worked great for me. Update now says "not needed" for the
update I was shooting for.

Thanks Bob, its worked for me too. Does anybody know how to delete the
error messages in the microsoft downloads page.I have loads of error
downloads and its taken up space on my computer

Error details: Code 4397

This update has been failing over and over for months now. I installed
Office 2007 in late June and removed PowerPoint Viewer 2003.

The first time this update failed was in June 15th, prior to the install of
Office 2007.
Removing PowerPoint Viewer 2003 did not remove the need for this update??

I looked in the Control Panel Programs. It does not show PowerPoint Viewer
2003 as being installed. How can I get 'Windows Update' to realize that
'Windows Control Panel' removed PowerPoint Viewer 2003??
