I am using XP Pro and Media Player 11 was working fine till one day I could
not see the video or get sound. The rpgram would open up, but the player was
not functioning.

I rolled it back to 10 and then went to Windows Update and tried to install
Media Player 11 and got the Error Code: 0xD2AF8

It seems to be a frequent comment without any good solutions on a Google
search. Does anyone have any advice on getting Media Player 11 to download
and function properly at this point. Thanks much for any advice!

I acttually "seemed" to get the Windows Media Player update going, but when I
open up the prgram and a .wmv file, it only plays the sound and not the
video. It is just a black screen in the middle. Any ideas on how to fix this.
Thanks again.

This worked out for me:
(After downloading the Media Player 11)

- Access:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=43264

- Run the file and install it

- Go to START menu - Run and type:
REGSVR32 WUPS2

Download the SP3 at windows update, and check if it works.

Tell me if it worked out!

Cheers,
