Problem with cdburnerxp following windows update

Hi,

After running windows update on 30.10.09 my pc would only load in safe mode,
I had to restore to a point 2 days earlier & since then my cdburnerxp program
(which worked perfectly prior to this) won't work now.

I'd be very grateful for any help in rectifying this please...preferably in
laymans terms please.
