Welcome,

You should be able there to mark: Don't show this update again that is if
you are updating through the windowsupdate web page.

When you update through automatic updates:
1.Once the download is complete, a message box will appear, saying "Updates
are ready for your computer. Click here to install these updates." Nothing
will happen until you click on this box.

2.When you click on the box, the Automatic Updates dialog box appears and
asks you if you want Express or Custom install.

3.If you do not want to install an update click Custom, then uncheck
(deselect) the reference to the specific update A box will prompt: "Don't
show me this update again." You must check (select) the option to not show
the update again, and click OK. At this point, the specific update will not
be offered again.

Best regards,

Michel Denie

When I get to the screen for updates every time i try to express or custom
install so I can hide a sql server update that always fails it gives me an
error message. Have been working with Microsoft support and everything they
suggest doesn't work. How can i fix this? I'm using XP.
